General Usage Fee
The UCLA-DOE and Biochemistry Shared Instrumentation Facility charges a small general usage fee of $10 per researcher, per month; this is intended to cover the consumables associated with general use and facility maintenance. The $10 charge is only applied for months where a researcher actually enters the facility, and covers unlimited entries for that month. Additionally, any given lab is only charged for the first five researchers to limit costs to larger personnel labs; thus, any one lab will pay at most $50 per month for unlimited general facility access for an unlimited number of researchers.
